Fordoun Hotel and Spa is situated in Nottingham Road in the scenic KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, at the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg. The hotel is situated in the green pastures of a successful dairy farm, which has a history dating back to the 1800’s. The original farm buildings have been adapted into the atmospheric and gracious Fourdoun Spa, Hotel and Restaurant, where guests can experience luxury accommodation in the rolling hills, as well as advanced spa and leisure facilities.
Accommodation is offered in 23 luxurious, individually appointed suites with 3 categories of accommodation. These include luxury suites, deluxe dam-facing suites and superior mountain view suites. Fordoun Farm Village offers panoramic views of the Drakensberg in a tranquil country setting, giving the feeling of relaxation and romance.
The fine dining restaurant, Skye Bistro, uses fresh local produce and is open 7 days a week for hotel guests, as well as visitors in search of excellent cuisine in a tranquil setting. From log-burning fires in the winter to watch the sunset from the verandah over the rolling hills of Fordoun, the restaurant is an ideal spot for a relaxing meal. The restaurant offers farm-style breakfasts, lighter cafe-style lunches and delicious dinners, and caters to all needs.
Fordoun offers a wide selection of spa treatments and boasts a team of experts that include skilled masseurs, Reiki and Bio-energy specialists, a traditional African Healer, and highly trained aestheticians. The spa features internationally acclaimed treatments, as well as an indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, sauna, steam room, Vichy shower, hydrotherapy room, and a couple’s treatment suite with hydrotherapy bath.
The Fordoun conference centre caters for up to 40 delegates, and offers quality equipment on hand, as well as the resources of the Fordoun Spa and Skye Restaurant nearby. The spacious, high-ceiling main conference room is ideal for numerous events and functions. The renovated barn situated at the Fordoun Farm Village, with views of the majestic Drakensberg mountains, is ideal for weddings.
