Loved the multiple walks on site, cozy cottage and stunning forest setting. If you love cosy wooden cabins, falling asleep to the sound of a mountain stream, searching a leafy forest canopy for rare birds, watching monkeys play in the treetops, and exploring forest paths meandering past mossy boulders, fern-covered valleys and crystal clear waterfalls, then Forest Bird Lodge is the perfect getaway for you. We loved our stay in this magical piece of heaven.

Tranquil bliss. The lodge cabin is well equipped for a comfortable self-catering stay in the bush area. The game selection was a plus. We had a restful stay and the host was amazing.

Beautiful and serene. The stay was excellent. One of my better choices to date. Both cabin and cottage were comfortable and well equipped with beautiful forest scenery. The lodge has its own beautiful hiking trail and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return again and again!

Whimsical. It was magical, much needed. I loved the hike. It was raining, which made it look like a scene from a movie. The host received us, and he was helpful.

Lovely and peaceful. Our stay was lovely. The house is old but this adds to the feel of the place.

Peaceful location in the forest. We enjoyed staying in Forest Bird Lodge and doing the walks to the little waterfall and up the mountains where you had a beautiful view over the kloof. We also enjoyed watching the special little monkeys. It is a peaceful location.
