Frustrating and inadequate. Frere is clean and tidy and the surroundings beautiful. However, it would appear that they are still young in the hospitality industry, because we experienced very little personal hospitality and warmth during a freezing cold weekend. The place is very basic equipped and not suitable for guests in severe cold weather. There was no warm blanket but only a small fan heater, no mats either side of the bed and some of the windows could not close properly.
