Description
Situated on the Breede River, just outside of Swellendam, The Gaia Sanctuary offers an off-grid glamping experience with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Langeberg mountain range. It is an ideal option for a memorable family holiday or a romantic getaway with your loved one.
This accommodation offers guests a choice of either an A-frame Cabin, a Comfort Bell Tent which can accommodate 2 guests, or 6 campsites which each have a capacity of 5 guests. The cabin can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 children at a time and features an open-plan design. There is a queen-size bed on the mezzanine level and 2 child-only single beds on the ground floor. Adjacent to the cabin, there is a private compost toilet for guests’ use.
Each Comfort Bell tent is furnished with a double bed fitted with quality linen and includes a shady wooden deck with outdoor seating. Bath towels are also provided. Overlooking the river, there are 6 campsites that can each accommodate 5 guests at a time. Guests are required to bring their own camping equipment.
All guests share the use of ablution facilities fitted with showers, washbasins and toilets. Guests have full access to a communal boma and an outdoor kitchen equipped with a gas cooker, washbasin and a central dining table. The farm offers many activities to keep one occupied such as walks, bird watching, canoeing, fishing and swimming in the river.
