Description
Grassade Guest Farm is part of the Harmonie Proteas Farm, situated 45 km east of Pretoria. It is located on the lower part of the farm, where antelopes and zebras roam among the field grass.
Accommodation is offered in 2 apartments called Springbok and Blesbok, and a big self-catering block called Grassade Units, which is ideal for group bookings. Guests in the self-catering rooms share a common kitchen and lounge area.
The 2 apartments can each accommodate 4 guests and comprise 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. They share the use of a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.
Each unit has a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, gas stove, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The open-plan lounge and dining area leads to the patio with braai facilities and a view of the wildlife.
The Grassade Units are perfect for group booking, family gatherings, or birthday parties. It consists of 12 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 26 guests in total. 11 of these rooms are each furnished with a queen-size bed and have en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers, basins, and toilets. The 12th bedroom is a family bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed and a double sleeper couch and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.
This self-catering block has a communal kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also a communal dining area with seating where guests can enjoy their meals. It extends to a boma area where the sunset can be seen with the horizon in the background.
The farm offers a variety of activities, including bird watching, walking trails, wildlife watching, and cycling on the dirt roads. Cullinan, located 15 km away from the farm, provides additional adventure opportunities such as zip-lining, quad biking, abseiling, and a mine tour at the famous Cullinan Petra Diamond Mine.
