Your home, away from home. We recently celebrated a very special occasion at this charming three-bedroom house in Onrus, near Hermanus—my wife's 40th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty and comfort of our temporary home. The house itself exceeded all our expectations; it was not only exceptional in its cleanliness and amenities but also offered a warm, inviting atmosphere that made us feel immediately at ease. The bedrooms were spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all our family members who joined us. The ample parking was a convenient bonus, accommodating our guests without any hassle. What truly set this property apart, however, were the stunning, lush gardens at the front and back. These beautifully maintained outdoor spaces became our serene sanctuary during our stay, offering us a tranquil retreat where we could relax and celebrate together. The gardens were so delightful that we found ourselves preferring to stay in and enjoy our surroundings rather than venturing out. This house truly felt like a home away from home, providing the perfect backdrop for such a milestone celebration. We could not have asked for a more idyllic setting to gather with family and commemorate my wife's birthday. To anyone considering a stay here, we wholeheartedly recommend it. It's more than just a place to stay; it's a place where memories are made.

Accommodating, comfortable and safe. We really enjoyed our stay and the comfort of the accommodation. We were very impressed with how "thought-through" the owners are in terms of what the house contains. Our pets enjoyed the space as well. Just a recommendation to extend the departure date on the Sunday as we felt very rushed to leave the premises and maybe have a thorough clean just before the accommodation is occupied to alleviate the little dust that smells in the cupboards and the air. Other than that, we have no complaints whatsoever, and only have good reviews about the accommodation.

Absolutely lovely in every way! We really enjoyed our stay at Grundhoud and will book again for future trips. It was lovely to be able to see the sea from the lounge and main bedroom windows, and the view of the mountains from the back of the house was stunning! It is a very comfortable place and had all of the facilities that one needs to make a trip easy and stress-free. The open plan living area flows nicely and is perfect for a family holiday. I would recommend this to families or even groups who want to enjoy this beautiful part of the country.

A lot of space but a bit old. Well organized and everything in the house worked fine. The house is only a bit older, and some of the rooms smell a bit moldy. But anyhow, still a nice house with a lot of space.
