Hakuna Matata Boutique Cottage is a charming self-catering retreat situated on a game farm about 10 km northwest of the Great Brak River in the Western Cape. Nestled halfway between George and Mossel Bay on the N2, this location offers the tranquility of nature with the sounds of lions roaring, fresh farm air, and stunning mountain views, while the bustling beach holiday atmosphere is just a 20-minute drive away.
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests in its 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, offering a picturesque view of the dam where wildlife frequently gathers to drink. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and a luxurious bath. The second smaller bedroom has 2 single beds and an adjacent bathroom fitted with a shower.
The cottage features an open-plan seating area and the kitchenette is equipped with an air fryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, gas stove, oven, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Boasting modern finishes, outside guests can relax in a cosy wood-fired hot tub, use the outdoor shower, or enjoy the braai facilities on the patio.
For birdwatchers, the area boasts a variety of birds such as the Knysna Bush Loerie and Fish Eagle. The farm is home to disease-free buffalo and a variety of buck. Guests can also enjoy game drives, making for a relaxing and adventurous stay at Hakuna Matata Boutique Cottage.
