Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Absolutely stunning location in the Koo Valley with endless views of the mountains, clear starlit skies at night after a spectacular sunset. The swallows were very busy with nest building and the weaver birds kept us entertained with squabbles over their breakfast pickings. Just the perfect setting to relax in. The cottage really catered for every need and was very comfortable.

Close to nature and tranquil. Harmonie Farm Cottages is a bird-watcher's dream. The pond with reeds is busy with bird life. The cottage is far from the road and quiet. The Koo is a truly magnificent place to be.

Please beware of the water quality before booking. While Harmonie Farm Cottage is nicely furnished and initially seems like good value for money, our experience was unfortunately very disappointing. We had booked for three nights but left after just one due to several issues that significantly impacted our stay. Firstly, the water quality was appalling. The property uses borehole water with extremely high levels of manganese, which builds up in the geyser. Using the hot water tap released a nauseating smell of rotten eggs and sewage that filled the entire house. Washing dishes left us retching, and we avoided drinking or showering in the water altogether. Medical advice even suggested the water could be unsafe for children or pregnant women, which made the stay extremely unpleasant as we were constantly worried about the safety of the water and the health risks in coming into contact with it. After we complained, the farmer provided a 5-litre bottle of clean water. However, this was insufficient for cooking, showering, and basic hygiene. Secondly, the cleanliness of the cottage left much to be desired. We discovered an old condom wrapper next to the bed and several hairs on the pillows, which was deeply off-putting. Lastly, the property was not well equipped for Montagu's scorching December heat. There was no air conditioning, only a small fan in the bedroom, which did little to cool the space. A most comfortable stay in lovely environs. Harmonie is a really comfortable and well-appointed farm stay. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces add hugely to a lovely place! Linda is a fantastic host.
