Hartfell Farm Hartfell Cottage is a self-catering farmhouse set in a forested valley near the village of Dullstroom in Mpumalanga. It is situated 10 km from town on a dirt road which requires a high-rise vehicle, ensuring undisturbed peace and tranquillity for a group of friends or families.
The cottage opens out onto an expansive lawn, making it ideal for families. The cottage offers a lovely view and access to one of the dams, while the other larger dams are within easy walking distance.
The cottage comprises three bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating 6 adults and 2 children. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds, and the remaining bedroom with two single beds and a child-size bunk bed. The first bathroom is fitted with a bath and the second bathroom with a shower.
The open-plan living space features a dining table with chairs and a lounge furnished with comfortable couches, a fireplace, and a TV with DStv. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, and microwave. Secure parking and braai facilities are also available.
The imposing mountains, rivers, and grasslands of the Mpumalanga Highlands present the opportunity for activities such as fishing, birding, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Area hikes to the stunning waterfall and lookout points are a highlight for nature lovers, while the surrounding forest offers a large variety of bird and plant life. The farm offers privacy and leisure walks and boasts five well-stocked fishing dams..
