Blissful tranquility. Hawklee Country House is perfect for a quiet weekend away from the city. However, it is only about 15 km away from Nottingham Road's attractions and restaurants. Private little piece of heaven. Tanya and Shawn were fantastic hosts and made us feel at home on arrival. Comfy beds and a very private room were much appreciated. We had a wonderful Christmas lunch with very tasty home-cooked food. We would strongly recommend Hawkley Country House to our friends and family and will be back soon.

Superb setting, comfortable cottage and wonderful hosts. Hawklee Country House has a charming old-world feel about it, with a wonderful outlook over a meandering stream below. Tanya and Sean are wonderful hosts who make you feel right at home. The cottages are very comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The food may be home-cooked and hearty, but it is certainly a pleasure to eat. Breakfasts are not the usual bacon and egg but are well thought out and very tasty. The Irish home pub, is just that, with a selection of fine Irish Whiskey and the obligatory Guinness. All in all a great place for a wonderful weekend in the Midlands.
