Description

Heritage View Birding Retreat is a peaceful nature retreat on the banks of Barberspan, an internationally recognised Ramsar wetland in the North West. The property offers sweeping views, abundant birdlife, and a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.

Accommodation comprises 3 self-catering units, each with a private veranda overlooking the natural surroundings. Osprey has 1 bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, plus an open-plan kitchen and living area. Fish Eagle features 1 bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a study area, and a coffee station with a microwave, kettle, and fridge. Mossie is furnished with a king-size bed, a child's mattress, and a cot, with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet, and basin. Units can be connected via an internal door for families or groups travelling together.

All units include garden-view verandas, complimentary Wi-Fi, and secure parking. The property is located about 100 m from the water’s edge and a bird hide, where over 350 bird species have been recorded. Heritage View is easily accessible from Delareyville and Sannieshof along the N14, making it a convenient stopover for travellers en route to the Kgalagadi, Namibia, or the West Coast.
