Herschel Court Studio

Very neat and cozy.

Great! Grateful to have spent my weekend here! It is quite outdated, so well-suited as a lock-up and go type of stay. Very central and positioned for trips to City Centre, Constantia and the like.

Absolute pleasure staying at Herschel Court Studio.

Joy and Mike are the absolute best hosts. Anything I would ask for was done in no time, and they even went the extra mile. I highly recommend Herschel Court Studio. The location is very convenient; it was easy to get to different places in the city, UCT, etc. Claremont is a very central suburb. Shopping and eating in the area is just a stone's throw away. Thank you, Joy and Mike.

Gemaklik, goeie ligging en skoon.

Dankie vir die gasvryheid. My verblyf was gemaklik, skoon en goed geleë. Sal dit aanbeveel vir enige persoon. Baie dankie.

This small self-catering flat was exactly as the photo showed.

It was exactly what we needed. The WiFi is weak, and the online TV does not work because the WiFi connection is a low bit-rate. But we did not want to watch TV anyway, just eat and sleep after our day at the conference. What we would suggest is to have blockout curtains and not the fine see-through type. It would make the room darker during the night with all the street lights and maybe reduce the road sounds.

Still area, rustig geslaap. Alles baie veilig.

Conveniently located.

Being a studio unit in an old building, the unit is basic. However, it has all the essential items for an easy overnight stay and is very conveniently located for shops, restaurants, the southern suburbs, and the city bowl. The lack of cleanliness is really unfortunate.

Really enjoyed the area we stayed in.

We spent 6 days over year end season. The area was rather noisy on New Year's Eve, but we did expect that.

Dissapointed and feeling ripped off, will not recommend!

Very dissapointed. The place wasn't ready on time. When we arrived they were still busy cleaning up and connecting the WiFi. We waited in our car for about 20 minutes. The place had a musty, mouldy smell. It seemed it badly needed to be aired. We tried to keep some windows open to get rid of the smell, but it was difficult because it's located on a busy street corner (noise pollution) and it was really cold. There was mould on the walls and window frames (not cleaned) and one of the chairs. The curtain was hanging loose on one side (no hooks) and the venetian blind was damaged and in need of replacement. The bedding was clean, but it seemed like the owner bought it at a thrift shop (or old bedding from their own home). The toaster and heater worked, but also looked like something that was past its sell-by date. There is no security gate, hence the poor safety score. Electrical wall plugs were loose and could pose a safety risk.

Home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was close to amenities and the hospital. The unit was very safe.

Baie netjiese, veilige woonstel en alles wat jy nodig het. Winkelsentrum net om die draai vir benodighede, goeie ligging.

Ek en my man moes dringend Kaap toe kom vir 'n operasie vir ons seuntjie. Ons wou net graag 'n woonstel naby die hospitaal hê, met slaapplek, badkamer en 'n yskas. Die woonstel het alles gebied wat ons nodig het, netjies en veilig. Joy en haar man is wonderlik. Sal definitief weer daar gaan bly.

Veilig, sentraal en gemaklik. Ek kan Herschell Court Studio ten sterkste aanbeveel.

Alles was perfek. Vriendelik en hulpvaardige eienaars met 'n sentrale ligging wat ons besoek aan Kaapstad soveel gemakliker gemaak het. Die gevolg - 'n fantastiese vakansie.

Klein, netjies en skoon akommodasie.

Ek was op 'n kort besigheid besoek en die fasiliteit het ten volle voldoen aan my vereistes.

It was quite neat, and most importantly it's safe and close to main shops and lots of restaurants and value-for-money restaurants.

We did enjoy our stay, we even wanted to stay longer, but it was pre-booked.

Was okay.

Ons het lekker gebly. Die plek was 'n klein bietjie vuil. Moes self van die goed weer skoonmaak. Is veilig om te bly. Was vriendelik ontvang.

Heeltemal voldoende vir my besoek.

Die perfekte plekkie wat aan al my behoeftes voldoen het.

Hieride was die perfekte plekkie vir my en Beverley om die naweek deur te bring. Die ligging sal vir baie mense miskien nie pas nie, maar dit was perfek vir ons. Die woonstelletjie is klein, maar ruim genoeg vir die 2 van ons. Die plekkie is goed toegerus en, alhoewel die TV nie gewerk het nie, het dit ons geensins gepla nie, aangesien ons nie daar was om TV te kyk nie. Mike het ons baie vriendelik verwelkom en ons het werklik welkom en tuis gevoel. As ek weer daar gaan kuier, sal ek definitief weer daar bespreek.

Gerieflik en sentraal geleë.

Klein maar gerieflik. Mike en Joy, dankie vir julle diens.

Dit was baie aangenaam. Goeie verblyf vir 'n nag of twee.

Enigste probleem was dat daar met ons meegedeel is dat daar WiFi is en ons het ook die wagwoord ontvang, maar die WiFi het glad nie gewerk nie. Verder was ons verblyf heerlik en is daar geen ander klagtes nie.

Rustig en gerieflik!

Herschel Court is binne loopafstand van Nuweland sportvelde af wat baie gerieflik is. Jou motor bly dan veilig agter. Dis ook binne enkele minute se ry van die hoof toeristebesienswaardighede in die Kaap. Die verblyf self was baie rustig.

Ons was effens teleurgesteld.

Gedurende die 8 dae van ons verblyf was ons nooit met skoon handdoeke of beddegoed voorsien nie. Tog sal ons definitief weer van die verblyf gebruik maak, ons het dit alreeds by ons vriende aanbeveel. Die enigste probleem is die verkeer en bogenoemde. Mike is 'n gawe gasheer.

Veilige, bekostigbare akkommodasie in 'n goeie area.

Het Herschel Court ook vir ander moontlike gebruikers aanbeveel. Baie geskik vir vroegoggend-afsprake en gerieflik naby goeie restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay and Mike and Joy wonderful people to deal with. Some suggestions: paint the interior, some damp coming through. Also, the shower sprays water all over the floor when you shower as the glass panel not long enough. Maybe even put a heated blanket on the bed for winter. Otherwise, lovely.
