High Hopes is a Holistic Wellness Retreat Centre and Guest House. The feeling is Cape Cottage and the private, garden rooms are set in a beautiful, large, woodland and flower garden. In addition to being a wellness and therapy retreat centre, High Hopes rooms have comfortable accommodation in stunning, large woodland and flower gardens. High Hopes is situated in the exquisite mountain village of Greyton, only an hour and a half out of Cape Town. Greyton is similarly an hour from Hermanus, an hour from Franshoek, and an hour from Swellendam, hence it is known as the "Jewel in the Overberg".
High Hopes offers accommodation in 4 very comfortable garden-entrance rooms with private en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have excellent quality beds and are well-appointed. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are provided in all rooms. Breakfasts are health breakfasts, plant-based, 24 hours ahead advance booking only, and cost R220 per head excl VAT. There are 13 cafes and restaurants in the village itself all offering a variety of great breakfasts to choose from. All rooms open into the garden or onto verandahs with café style chairs and tables. Fans and fireplaces or gas heating are fitted and supplied in all rooms.
There are on-site massage rooms, a meditation room, a kinesiology and reiki healing room, an ozone treatment room, and a plunge pool and barbecue area with plenty of garden seating, lawns, and pool loungers.
High Hopes is close to all hiking and cycling trails in Greyton and the Greyton Nature Reserve. It is within easy walking distance of all the local attractions: The famed Greyton restaurants, brewery, cafes, galleries, tennis courts, mountain streams, nature reserves, and cycling trails are all within an easy 3 to 10-minute stroll.
You are welcome to book anything from a one-night to a 4-week stay. Groups often also book the whole place out, as one of the cottages has a well-equipped kitchenette and the gardens have a braai/barbecue area near the swimming pool. There is plenty of space in the one-and-a-half-acre gardens. Let us know your needs and preferences.
