Hillside Guest House is located in Bethulie and offers quality accommodation in a historic village with a view of the Orange River and the longest railway bridge in the southern hemisphere.
It offers comfortable accommodation in a fully furnished self-catering home. The house comprises 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 11 guests at a time. The entire house can be booked as a unit.
The first bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom also has twin beds, the third room has a double bed and a single bed and the fourth bedroom has a double bed, single bed and a sleeper couch for a child. The main bedroom has a full en-suite bathroom and its own breakfast nook with a fridge, microwave and coffee-making facilities. This room can be booked on its own or with room 3 to offer space for 3 more guests. All the beds have heated blankets and extra beds are available on request.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, fridge, microwave, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery. The lounge area has comfortable seating and a TV with its own OVHD decoder. The accommodation has a backup power system that keeps the lights, some TVs, Wi-Fi and security system running. There are also solar powered lights outside.
Braai facilities are available and braai packs can be arranged in advance.
Bethulie is located central South Africa and is the ideal overnight place for travellers between Cape Town and Johannesburg, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), East London, the Wild Coast and Garden Route. Cape Town and Durban travellers will also find that Bethulie is the perfect overnight place. Bethulie is easily accessible from the N1 or the N6 with no dirt roads. Bethulie is a historic town with Anglo-Boer War attractions such as the concentration camp and the Pellissier Museum and Pellissier graves.
