Beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed our weekend! The railings were smooth, the accommodation comfortable and the lovely veranda at the back was very cosy. Thank you very much.

It was the right choice for a place to spend the night in Graaff Reinett. Annatjie was extremely helpful, despite the fact that she was not there in person. Walking from a contemporary to an ancient environment had been an experience. So much to view and observe. Definitely a place to stay the night.

We really enjoyed our time in Graaff-Reinet and Historic Old-fashioned Cottage - the house was full of character and very beautiful. On our first night there unfortunately there was no water in the house - I understand that there is no water in the town during load shedding, but after the power came back on there was still no water. It did work again the next day. I would suggest that the house be upgraded a bit to make it more "loadshedding proof" like most of the other guest houses in Graaff-Reinet. The towels didn't really smell clean/fresh, luckily we packed our own towels and were able to use them. These are really my only complaints - we really enjoyed the house.

Comfortable and spacious. House is well equipped and comfortable with spacious rooms and bathrooms. There is no WiFi and the mattresses are very hard and uncomfortable. House was also quite dusty.
