The Stables offers comfortable accommodation in 3 tw-bedroom self-catering cottages and 5 one-bedroom self-catering cottages situated on the Invermooi Angus Stud farm in the foothills of the Drakensberg, 25 km outside Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The Invermooi Estate offers a tranquil country setting with panoramic views of the Drakensberg mountains, where guests can enjoy a peaceful getaway from the city. Invermooi Estate offers a number of cottages and lodges, conveniently situated around the estate giving guests the privacy they require.
The 2-bedroom cottages are tastefully furnished and comprise 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. The first bedroom contains a double bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have access to a shared bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave, and the lounge has a smart TV with Netflix, Wi-Fi, and a fireplace, ideal for those cold winter days. The cottage also offers an outside braai area.
The 1-bedroom cottages are tastefully furnished and comprise 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave, and the cottage is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, Wi-Fi, and a fireplace. Guests have access to braai facilities.
Invermooi Estate is a premier trout-fishing destination, and the estate offers many dams and 8 km of river frontage. Set on a working farm, this is the ideal spot to enjoy the countryside with birds and wildlife in abundance. The local Nottingham Road Village has much to offer, including many restaurants, pubs and craft shops. Other activities include fly fishing, hiking and mountain biking.
