Jacobs Bay Backpackers offers accommodation and is situated in Jacobsbaai which is midway between Vredenburg and Saldanha Bay. The backpackers is ideal for birthday parties, small weddings, bachelor's, corporate team building or just to come chill out and get away from it all. Close to a variety of facilities inclusive of the West Coast Fossil Park, West Coast National Park, Paternoster, and Langebaan.
Accommodation at Jacobs Bay Backpackers comprises dorms, Wooden A-Framed tents, campsites, stone house, double and twin rooms. Each of these rooms is equipped with either a double bed, single beds or bunk beds and there are communal bathrooms with hot showers. Guests are welcome to make use of the communal kitchen, which is well-equipped to prepare meals.
The property also offers inside and outside braai areas to use; an enclosed lapa containing a flat-screen TV with DStv viewing, and a sound system for entertainment. We have conferencing facilities for corporate events.
There is a play area for kids and our front office can arrange any local tours. The shop sells ice, firewood and the gift and curio shop sells fairies, pixies, dreamcatchers and kiddies’ toys. The Succulent Nursery sells a wide variety of cacti, succulents, native plants and rock art. The Plot includes the Jacobs Bay Backpackers, The Pixie and Fairy Village, The West Coast Labyrinth and the Succulent Nursery.
Parking is available for vehicles on-site. Jacobs Bay Backpackers is within close proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants in town, fun outdoor activities as well as various tours that can be arranged on-site and close by.
