Jakkelsroep Accommodation is located in the heart of the bushveld on a farm, 40 km from Pretoria. The area is malaria-free.
Unit 1 accommodates 4 guests and features 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area with air conditioning. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the other has 2 three-quarter beds. Each bedroom has a fan, and linen and towels are provided. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. The fully equipped kitchen offers a gas stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and coffee-making facilities. A cosy dining area with chairs is also available. Guests can enjoy a lovely veranda with braai facilities and a splash pool.
Unit 2 accommodates 4 guests and features 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has air conditioning, while the second bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds and a fan. The bathroom includes a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. The fully equipped kitchen offers a gas stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and coffee-making facilities, along with a dining area. The unit also boasts a veranda with braai facilities and a swimming pool.
Tented Chalet accommodates 2 guests and includes an en-suite bathroom with a bath and outdoor shower, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and coffee-making facilities.
Meerkat Tent accommodates 2 guests with a queen-size bed, an outdoor bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and coffee-making facilities.
All the above accommodations offer covered parking for 1 vehicle. The Tented Chalet and Meerkat Tent share access to a communal swimming pool near the campsite.
All accommodations have access to a communal swimming pool and a lapa with solar lights. A children’s play area with a jungle gym and trampoline is also available.
Wildlife on the property includes impalas, nyalas, warthogs, jackals, ostriches, zebras, blesbucks, and smaller game. Guests can enjoy stargazing and listening to jackals, but there is a strict no-noise and no-animal-feeding policy.
Jakkelsroep is located 7 km from the Tsukulu Gate of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, home to the Big 5 and spanning approximately 23,000 hectares of pristine nature. Attractions in the area include guided game drives, hiking trails, boat cruises, and a variety of restaurants. It is also 9 minutes from the Lion and Cheetah Sanctuary, which offers game drives and animal interaction experiences.
