Jakkelsroep Accommodation is in the heart of the bushveld, on an active farm and offers quality accommodation that is ideal for nature lovers and family or friends looking for a farm break. Jakkelsroep Accommodation is 40 km from Pretoria. The area is malaria-free and boasts a very mild climate.
Unit 1 is suitable for 4 guests and has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and living area, with air conditioning. One bedroom has a double bed and the other bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds. Both bedrooms have fans. Linen and towels are provided. The bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and sink.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery and tea and coffee-making facilities. The dining area has seating for 6 guests and the lounge area boasts comfortable couches and air conditioning. There is also a veranda with a table with seating for 6 guests, a free-standing braai and a plunge pool.
Unit 2 is suitable for 4 guests and has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and living area. One bedroom has a double bed and air conditioning and the other bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds and a fan. Linen and towels are provided. The bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and sink.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery and tea and coffee-making facilities. The dining area has seating for 4 guests and the lounge area boasts comfortable couches and air conditioning. There is also a veranda with a table with seating for 4 guests, a built-in braai and a swimming pool.
Each unit has covered parking for 1 vehicle. There is also a climbing frame and a trampoline for children. A cleaning service is available for an extra fee per day. Both units have free Wi-Fi and there are lamps for load shedding in all rooms.
There are several pitches available for camping. Stands 1 and 2 each have private ablution and braai facilities and are suitable for 6 guests. Guests have access to a communal pool and a lapa with solar lights. There is also a play area for children.
The game camp is 28 hectares in size and here guests can hike, cycle, bird watch, and enjoy a picnic or barbecue at the boma in the forest. Self-drive game drives are allowed and guests can rent a picnic basket. Unique treatments and romantic packages are also available and must be arranged in advance.
Game on-site include impalas, nyalas, warthogs, jackals, ostriches, zebras, blesbucks and smaller game. Guests can watch the stars and hear foxes, strict policy against noise as well as feeding animals.
Jakkelsroep is about 7 kilos from Dinokeng Nature Reserve's Tsukulu gate with the Big 5 and covers about 23,000 hectares of untouched nature. Attractions in the area include guided game drives, hikes, boat trips and numerous restaurants. It is also 9 minutes from Lion and Cheetah Sanctuary which allows game drives and interaction with animals.
