Leaks! Very private, beautiful silver clean unit and a 1st class braai area. A very friendly welcome awaited us. Safe environment with an extremely clean, tidy and modern cottage. There was nothing out of place and everything needed for the stay was in place. We have stayed at various places before, but this is the first time there were no disappointments. We can warmly recommend the cottage we lived in to any couple who wants to stay in the George area. I think for the price it is excellent. The surrounding mountain range is something to behold and creates the most peaceful mood we have experienced in a long time. We are really looking forward to our next getaway there and will never stay at any other accommodation in the area again. Thank you very much for the exceptional time there, and I believe that the place together with the hospitality will be appreciated by every dear person. Good job! Value for money accommodation in a peaceful area. Basson met us with a warm, friendly greeting and walked us through to Jasmine Cottage at the rear of the property. He also agreed to adjust our booking days due to an unforeseen medical emergency. Recently refitted, the layout of the large living area and kitchenette was optimal for ease and relaxation during our stay. The place was neat, clean and modern, with a comfortable double bed. An indoor fireplace and wall heater assist in keeping the place warm on a chilly day. The generous complimentary provisions of milk, tea, coffee and chocolates made us feel extremely welcome.

It was okay but not great. The photo of the outside of the place on the app and what we got were nothing alike. It was not a cottage. It was a flat at the back of someone's house with no view. No wooden cottage. The inside was accurate. We were not informed about the steep stairs we had to climb and the distance between parking and flat was far, especially for us as we had a lot of luggage to carry up and down. The "braai facilities" is really not lekke, it's just in a narrow stegie. When we arrived after 17:00 on the day of check in, the room was not ready as the host forgot we were 4 people. We had to ask for additional towels. The first night and next morning we had no warm water as the geyser was set on a timer. We had to ask the host to turn the timer off completely. No additional plastic bags for the dustbin. Overall the place was clean and very neat inside. But compared to all our other places we checked in, George was the one we did not enjoy so much. Perhaps I should have asked better questions before making that booking.
