It was a nice stay, but honestly I was not happy about the kitchen, I think they must upgrade. No microwave, no sink for washing dishes.

Needs a lot of work. Upon arrival it was clear the property needs a lot of maintenance. It is very run-down. We stayed in one of the cabins. A lot of items in the unit itself was broken, damaged, or dirty. Luckily we checked the inventory as most of the kitchen utensils and cutlery was missing, or not supplied. I mean 1 plate and 2 forks (to name a few) for a cabin that sleeps 6. The staff was helpful to sort this out but it begs the question how thorough the general admin of the units are. Other units also don't comply with the rules, and we spent an entire evening listening to the cabin-nightclub next to us, with staff trying in vain to get our neighbours to quiet down. We made the best of the trip, but if it wasn't Easter weekend with most other accommodations booked up, we would have requested relocation.

Had problems with the taps. It can be fixed. All the taps were faulty. Kitchen facilities can also be updated a bit. Not bad. We stayed in one of their log houses. It was very neat, but definitely needs upgrading. What worried me was the location and that you might possibly pick up problems in terms of dissension between neighbors right behind the resort as well as noise. Very nice. Overall, our experience of Jock Sabie Lodge was very positive. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are neat and clean. It's centrally located close to all the attractions. One suggestion is that care is taken to adhere promptly to the terms and conditions at all times. All guests sign for the same and if concessions are made on the terms and conditions it makes the stay unpleasant for other guests (in our case where we had to listen for 2 hours and 30 minutes to someone else's music blaring loudly from their vehicle near our unit played). Other than that, our experience is positive and we will definitely consider staying here again.

Average. We asked for a self-catering room but there was no kitchen, we needed stoves, plates, utensil etc. And worse, in one of the rooms we booked into there was no hot water. Your towels are old and your bedding as well, maybe you could try changing your bedding into white. I paid a lot of money but not everything was on standard.

The lodge is very run down and needs serious renovation as well as a dramatic improvement in management. On the first night we had no bathmat, a broken bedside light and a very worn duvet. Breakfast the next day was poor with stale fruit salad and insipid "orange" juice. We complained. The next night we had a bathmat and a better duvet but no towels and had to raise the manager late at night. The acrylic bath was very dirty and worn and needs replacement. The cost of the stay far exceeded value for money and I would not recommend the Lodge. I reckon that we should get a refund of at least 50% back. The gardens are attractive.
