Kambaku River Lodge is perfectly located, just 12 km from Malelane, on the southern banks of the Crocodile River and the border of the Kruger National Park, home to the Big 5. Kambaku River Lodge is privately owned by Tony and Leanne and gets its name from 1 of the legendary magnificent 7 big tusker elephants. At Kambaku River Lodge guests can enjoy the magnificent views of the Crocodile River, the surrounding mountains, and Kruger National Park.
The lodge offers 6 beautifully appointed suites that can accommodate between 2 and 6 guests. Guests can choose between self-catering or dinner, bed and breakfast options. Each suite has a private bathroom, and is furnished with a king-size bed or 2 single beds, percale linen, down duvets, bathrobes, a TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, and air-conditioning for cooling and heating. Each suite has a patio and firepit facilities, and some have private pools. Some of the suites have kitchens for self-catering.
The lodge offers lovely views of the Crocodile River, as well as a viewing deck on the river, a swimming pool and a spa. Regular sightings of hippo, large elephant, buffalo herds, rhino, leopard and other species can be viewed. The lodge is a haven for bird lovers, with an abundance of bird life all year round. The cry of the fish eagle is often heard as it soars high in the sky. Guests can enjoy tranquil evenings round the fire, experiencing the African sounds and starlit nights.
Self-drives, as well as full or half-day safaris on an open vehicle, can be arranged. Night drives and morning walks in the Kruger National Park can also be arranged, along with a day visit to Mozambique or Swaziland. A game of golf at the Leopard Creek Golf Course can be booked with the lodge.
