Rustic old style accommodation. We spent a very chilly weekend at Kaapsehoop; it was the coldest spell this year. The accommodation is not really suitable for really cold weather. There was no heater in the house and it was freezing; luckily, we had brought extra blankets with us. There were extra blankets provided and they would have been adequate in normal conditions. The beds were comfortable and the house was well equipped for self-catering. The house is advertised as having WiFi, but there is no WiFi.

Although the cottage was neat, I expected much more. Fantastic hostess, very friendly and helpful. No king size bed as indicated, only a double bed. No WiFi as indicated, after several attempts only "not connected for internet". "Farm style pond where guests can cool off" - turned out to be a half-full muddy pond with dead birds floating in it. Shower, although very comfortable, is full of mold - very creepy. No towels, hostess asked us to bring our own. Porch has no railing and is therefore a terribly dangerous area.
