Kangelani Lodge is an African-style lodge perched on Alverstone Hill, 6 km from Hillcrest. The lodge is set in log and stone and offers panoramic views of the Assagay Valley, serenity, relaxation and warm hospitality.
Accommodation is offered in 4 guest bedrooms, 2 luxury tents, 4 1-bedroom self-catering chalets and a cottage with a shower room.
There is an upstairs family suite comprising 1 entrance door into 2 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with selected DStv channels, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a lock-up safe for valuable items, air-conditioning, a heater, and a bar fridge. Most rooms overlook the gardens and offer views of the valley. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
The lodge offers a bush boma encircled by aloes and indigenous trees for those chilly nights wrapped in a blanket around an open fire or for traditional stewing evenings. There is an outside pub with built-in braai facilities and an underground wine cellar for a unique dining experience. Guests can relax around the swimming pool on those hot summer days.
The lodge is an ideal venue for conferences for up to 30 people. The wine cellar is a great location for small private celebrations, or you can use the lodge’s indigenous gardens for larger functions.
