The Homestead is a private lodge which offers its guests all the comfort, convenience and luxury of their own home. With a dedicated game ranger and chef, guests have the flexibility to plan their day according to their own specific needs. The Homestead is set in a remote and private part of the reserve. It is the perfect lodge for the sole use of a group or family of up to 10 persons.

Accommodation comprises spacious and comfortable suites with king-size beds that can be converted to twin beds, overhead fans, and en-suite bathrooms with generous showers. There is also a main- and presentation kitchen with tea- and coffee-making facilities available as well as a dining room and lounge with fireplace. Guests also have access to the Internet. Other establishment facilities include a pub lounge with satellite TV and fireplace, a private outdoor boma, patio and swimming pool as well as a playroom for children and a laundry room.

Kariega prides itself on the abundance of general game and bird life supplementing the Big 5. The reserve hosts more than 25 game and 280 bird species. In addition to unforgettable game viewing from open vehicles with qualified rangers, the Kariega experience offers spa treatments and a diversity of free activities including river cruises, canoeing, guided walking, and swimming.
