Very nice, quiet and tidy place. Was pleasantly surprised despite the power outage. Very neat place, artistically furnished. The porch was a plus and the yard is nice and big for a dog.

Clean, nice farm experience. We used Karoo Huisie as an overnight stay while travelling from Cape Town to JHB. A very pleasant and clean farm experience. They accommodated our late arrival. Even switched the electric blankets on prior to our arrival. We will use the same house again as a stopover. Next time we will make use of the breakfast served.

Karoo Huisie is a must if you stay in Bethulie. We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again in the future. The setting is fantastically rural as we like it and the cottage was very nice and clean with air conditioning and good quality bedding etc. Our hostess was a very pleasant and friendly person who immediately makes you feel welcome.

Part of the road between Gariep and Bethulie was covered with potholes, I feel this should have been communicated as it was a nasty surprise after 8 hours of travel. We booked breakfast, but on arrival the hostess was surprised and said the 'loadshedding' schedule must be checked first.
