This is truly a Nature Lover's paradise: Boasting breathtaking views of the beautiful Sabie River Valley. Situated at the edge of the untouched mountains of the Hazyview - Kiepersol Conservancy, Kata Charis overlooks a beautiful 3 ha dam - A hidden gem.
The surrounds are peaceful with abundant plant and animal life - Rich in bird life, indigenous and endemic tree species as well as beautiful wild flowers. Maybe you will be fortunate enough to spot a yawning hippo, a hovering kingfisher, the Paintbrush-Lilies in bloom or hear a Fish Eagle's cry.
Bring your fishing rod. Who knows, maybe you will get that big one!

Two air-conditioned, luxurious and exclusive, fully equipped and serviced, self-catering chalets sleeping up to six people comfortably.
Each chalet has two spacious en-suite rooms. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a separate bath and shower. The second bedroom has two single beds, with a beautiful big shower. All rooms have ample closet space. There are also two single sleeper couches in the living room.
Fresh, crisp, 200 thread-count cotton percale sheeting, hypo-allergenic pillows are provided, as well as soft, fluffy white towels. Each chalet is individually decorated - featuring beautiful original artwork. Each kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, microwave oven, stove, toaster and kettle. Crockery and cutlery for 6 people.
Relax on the large veranda (housing braai facilities) with wooden deck, while enjoying the abundant bird-life in the tree-rich garden, overlooking the calming waters of the beautiful lake.
Please remember firewood or charcoal and fire lighters for the fire. Secure, shaded parking for two cars. Homeschooling friendly.
Besides relaxing in Kata Charis' tranquil grounds Hazyview and the surrounding area has many activities to enjoy. The breathtaking sites of the Panorama Route, Open Vehicle Game drives in the Kruger National Park, wild adventures down the Sabie River on a raft or tube, abseiling or zip-lining through the canopy in an indigenous forest. These are but a few of the many activities the Lowveld has to offer.
