Kleindoorn Gastehuis is a typical Karoo homestead located 28 km outside of the town Barrydale on a working farm. It offers an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Guests can relax on the thatched veranda stoep overlooking the Swartberge and the Badsberge.
The free uncapped WiFi makes Kleindoorn Gastehuis ideaal for working remotely.
The house can cater for up to 10 people and mattresses can also be arranged for children. The house comprises 3 bedrooms with doors and 2 bathrooms. The first 2 bedrooms have a double bed each and the third bedroom has twin beds. There is a sleeping couch in the porch room and one in the living room for extra guests. These rooms don't have doors. There are extra towels and linen in the cupboards.
The home has a kitchenette with an indoor braai, microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle, electric frying pan, mini-oven with 2 plate stove, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery. The indoor braai place provides a warm glow throughout the house during cold evenings. There is also an outside braai area where guests can enjoy great views over the farm. Homemade boerewors and braai wood is available on request
There is fresh spring water from the mountains in the running taps.
Linen, towels and washing cloths for dishes are provided. Toiletries, except toilet paper, are not provided.
Guests have access to a washing machine (bring your own detergent). There is a washing line outside in front of the back patio.
There is a fire extinguisher and a fire alarm.
Activities on the farm include hiking, swimming beneath two waterfalls, mountain biking, 4x4 trails to the test, birdwatching, stargazing, meditating and yoga, swimming in the farm dams and observing farm activities.
