Description
Klipfontein Farm Guest House is located in the middle of the hospitable Free State, only 58 km from Bloemfontein in the Edenburg district. This guest house was once a school. The beautiful sandstone walls are a reminder that many children have completed their primary school here.
The house can accommodate up to 8 guests with bathroom facilities, a spacious kitchen, large patio and braai-area. Guests must please bring along their own wood.
The headmaster's house has been renovated and is now a private bedroom with a double bed. The living room has a private tent on a raised platform and it contains 2 single beds. The large gazebo that is reinforced with strong canvas contains another double bed. There are 2 sleeper couches in the lounge for 2 additional guests. The main bathroom has a shower and separate toilet and the second bathroom has a shower and toilet. There is also a guest toilet.
The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a dining table with seating space for 8 people. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
Outside a large verandah awaits you with undercover braai facilities and tables and chairs. The view is as far as the eye can see.
The guest house uses solar power and has a gas geyser.
Guests can also take a walk or drive to the long, low bridge that is approximately 3 km far. There you can swim in the pools, walk on the stone banks, catch crab and enjoy a picnic by the river.
Guests are welcome to bring along their own mountain bikes, quad bikes and motorbikes to explore the dirt roads around the unit.
There are a lot of birds in the area including land-based species and waterfowl.
