It was incredibly nice to break away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the absolute peace and quiet and relax. The stone house is perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to enjoy peace and quiet and to really spend time together as a family without the distraction of TV and mobile phones.

In front of the fireplace in the Koue Bokkeveld. Our stay at Kliphuis @ Slangboskloof was wonderful. Large hearth / fireplace. Plenty of firewood was provided. Fully equipped kitchen. Environment with pond and mountains is very beautiful. Very calm. Ideal for a weekend getaway. No signal and no WiFi, which I personally appreciated.

Great relax. We spent a lot of time on the porch and also did some walking. The weather was perfect and the ponds were full. The kitchen is well equipped. As others have mentioned, although there is sleeping space for many people, it is quite open plan for the others when you have more people. The [accommodation_name] is away from the main farmyard and therefore private and quiet. It served our purpose for a small getaway.

Rest and peacefulness, perfect for spending quality family time, picture perfect scenery. Great for outdoor walking and exploring with pets, no noise, no people in sight or any disturbances, just dead silence and the sounds of nature with an unparalleled starry sky at night. A real piece of paradise.

The fireplace does not work and fills the whole house with smoke. We left after one day (one day early). The house was too cold and dark. The house is only suitable in the middle of summer. The house is only suitable for a family or group that does not ask for privacy, as the sleeping area is in an open plan area, except for one bedroom which is separate. The kitchen area and the living room do not have ceilings and are therefore double volume. Getting them warm or keeping them is not possible, especially also because the back door (or is it the front door?), does not close tightly. The kitchen has no windows, except for one small window high up in the gable wall of the double volume building.

Stairs leading to the loft are unsafe and perpendicular. Unsafe for small children and the elderly. Had a great time by the fireplace inside the house. With wood provided. Beautiful ponds and view from porch. Very quiet environment. Mountain view makes it bring a calmness over one.
