Description
Klipplaatsdrift Safari Lodge is situated along the Vlekpoort River 32 km outside the small Karoo town Hofmeyr in the Eastern Cape. Klipplaatsdrift Safaris believes in the natural protection and conservation of all wildlife species unique to Southern Africa.
Accommodation is offered in 4 chalets that each contain 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Each room is made up of 2 single beds which can be converted to a king-size bed. A camping cot or extra mattress is also available for the little ones on request.
The main lodge comprises an airy open-plan fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, and bar which leads you out onto a covered patio next to the boma that overlooks the Vlekpoort River. The dining room area seats up to 12 people and also contains a built-in braai. The lounge has a slow-combustion fireplace which is just perfect for the cold winter months. One can also sit in the boma area where you will find an outdoor braai and bonfires can be enjoyed under the African skies while sipping on a glass of wine. Guests have access to free Wi-Fi as well as secure parking.
Klipplaatsdrift Safaris has over 20 species of antelope on the conservancy including animals such as Cape buffalo, sable antelope, golden wildebeest, eland, copper springbok, lechwe along with numerous other species and plains game.
