La Plume Boutique Guest House is situated on a working ostrich, alfalfa and cattle farm with spectacular views of the Swartberg Mountains and the Olifants River Valley, in Volmoed.
A warm welcome awaits you at this charming 1902 Victorian homestead with its tranquil surroundings where old-world charm with modern comforts have been combined to ensure extraordinary service and personal attention.
La Plume offers stylish luxury with a diverse range of accommodation from a Cottage, Private Farm Villa, Luxury Rooms to Luxury Junior Suite, Honeymoon and Superior Suites that can accommodate between 2 to 6 guests. The lovely rooms have private entrances and are furnished with comfortable beds, and have en-suite bathrooms. Opening onto sunny verandas, each of the individually furnished air-conditioned units is equipped with Satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar and an abundance of comforts.
An English Breakfast buffet is a perfect start to the day, comprising of fresh fruit platters, a bread and cereal selection, cold meats and cheeses, as well as hot breakfast with special requests made to order. The restaurant also offers a daily lunch menu or picnic baskets for guests exploring the wonders of Klein Karoo. For dinner enjoy exceptional local wine and traditional home-cooked cuisine meticulously prepared by our chef and served in the spacious, candlelit dining room. A mouthwatering lunch menu, exquisite high tea's and delicious cheese platters are also on offer.
Join Bartel, Karin's husband, for early morning coffee in the gazebo before a pre-arranged tour of the working farm, to learn about the day to day activities of a full-time farmer, as well as the giant birds and the trials and tribulations of farming with them.
The newest addition to the La Plume experience is the Spa which boasts a selection of exclusive signature treatments to be enjoyed in the luxurious therapy rooms, and one-of-a-kind Rasul Chamber.
