Description
L’Chiam Cottage is comprised of a 3 bedroom, 2-bathroom house and a semi-detached 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom flatlet.
The main house can accommodate 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. These comprise of a main room with queen-sized bed and an on-suit bathroom with a basin, toilet and shower. The second room has a double bed and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a shared bathroom with a basin, toilet, shower, and bath. The flatlet can be made up as a king bed or 2 singles on request and has its own on-suit bathroom with basin, toilet and shower. The flatlet also has a small kitchenette and opens onto the covered patio with built-in braai area.
The main house has an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. There is a wood fireplace in the lounge. The lounge is equipped with a TV with premium bouquet DStv channels.
Linen and bath towels are provided, but guests are required to bring their own swimming towels. There is a further toilet and basin off the back garden/entertainment area.
There are 3 undercover entertainment areas in total.
The main house kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, and utensils. Two gas bottles with stove tops are provided as well as braai facilities.
The flatlet has a well-appointed kitchenette, with single plate induction stove top, toaster, kettle, microwave oven, utensils, iron and ironing board.
Torches with light bulbs are also provided in case of loadshedding or Eskom faults.
The private Bergview Eco estate has several hiking trails that head into the foothills of the Drakensberg and further trails can be accessed from various hotels and the Monks Cowl National Park.
Champagne Valley is host to many adventure activities which include horse riding, abseiling and canopy tours. It is an ideal holiday destination for anyone wanting to experience the magnificent Drakensberg mountains up close and personal.
