Description
Lengau Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in a small intimate lodge, situated in the Grietjie Private Nature Reserve in Phalaborwa. The reserve is part of Balule Nature Reserve, located in the Greater Kruger National Park, and all animals can move freely through these reserves. Grietjie Private Nature Reserve is known to be home to the Big 5, and a variety of other animals and birds. The plot of the lodge has no fence, so all animals visit the lodge freely.
Accommodation at the lodge comprises 3 rondavel chalets and a family room which are privately situated in the bush but can be safely accessed from the main lodge. The rooms open onto a private terrace with a view of the bush and the waterhole near the lodge.
The air-conditioned rooms are furnished with an extra-length king-size bed with a mosquito net, and have a separate toilet, a bathroom with a shower, as well as an outdoor shower with a view. The family room has an additional large loft with an extra-length queen-size bed with a mosquito net. Tea- and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer, USB wall sockets, and a comfy seating corner is available in each of the rooms.
The lodge offers a swimming pool with a sundeck and a large shaded terrace, as well as a viewing deck on the first floor of the main building. Enjoy delicious meals in the restaurant, on the outside terrace near the pool, or sit around the campfire and listen to the sounds of the bush. Almost daily, various animals visit the lodge, either just walking by or having a drink or bath at the waterhole.
Daily game drives are offered through the reserve and during the day you can visit numerous places of interest, either on your own or arranged by the lodge. In the late afternoon, you can enjoy a sundowner when visiting the banks of the Olifants River.
