Description
Kalm Riverside Living is an off-the-grid holiday home offering comfortable self-catering accommodation on the banks of the Breede River near Malgas. The property includes a private jetty and slipway, making it the perfect location for water sports enthusiasts and fishermen.
The tastefully furnished house comprises 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 adults with 6 children. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and its en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower. The second bedroom also contains a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The third bedroom is ideal for children and has 2 bunk beds, while its en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower. The fourth room is located in a separate cottage with a private patio, seating area, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. It is furnished with a king-size bed and a bunk bed for children, and the en-suite bathroom has a shower. Swimming and bath towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, bar fridge and coffee machine. Leading from the kitchen is a scullery equipped with a fridge-freezer and dishwasher. The spacious living area features an 8-seater dining table as well as a comfy seating area and opens onto a patio with an outdoor dining table and a built-in braai area. An entertainment area with a pool table is available just off the kitchen and guests have access to various board games. The patio at the back of the house has a 6-seater dining table, a seating area, and a pizza oven. There is also a wood-fired hot tub available for guests to use as well as sun loungers.
The river is a great place to enjoy swimming, tubing, boating, skiing, kayaking, and fishing, and 2 stand-up paddle boards are available for use. For those who wish to venture beyond the property, the local area offers plenty of attractions and activities to enjoy. From picturesque walks to nearby landmarks to discovering the unique flora and fauna of the region, there's something for everyone to appreciate.
