Description
Lumley's Place is a first-generation family-owned guest house situated in Johannesdal, Pniël. The village is culturally and historically rich and was founded by people of Khoi descent. The Pniël Congregational Church building dates back to 1843.
Lumley's Place is in the heart of the Cape Winelands and is close to Boschendal, Tokara, Bartinney, Solms Delta and many more award-winning wine farms. Breakfast is served and prepared daily.
Accommodation is offered in 4 comfortable guest rooms, each with its own unique decor. Each room has its own en-suite facilities, and either a Smart TV or OpenView option. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, and have a ceiling fan, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer and a small safe.
Guests can enjoy the spectacular view of the Simonsberg mountain range from the patio, or sip tea or a glass of local wine while facing the Groot Drakenstein, Franschhoek and Jonkershoek mountains.
Guests can relax in the communal guest lounge, either on the upper floor or ground floor or take a dip in the seasonal outdoor swimming pool, or soak up the sun on one of the sun loungers. Wi-Fi is available.
Lumley's Place is 10 minutes away from Stellenbosch University, 19 minutes drive from Franschhoek and 22 minutes away from Paarl. Boschendal is a mere 3 km away and Johannesdal a mere walk across the road.
