Situated on the banks of a man-made dam, MacFarlanes is a comfortably furnished self-catering house for up to 12 people.
The double-story house comprises 4 bedrooms that share 2 en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers. There is also a third separate bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. Two of the rooms are located on the ground floor, and each room contains a double bed. These rooms also have en-suite bathrooms. The 2 rooms on the first each contain 4 single beds and have lovely views of the dam. For convenience, bedding, bath towels, and electric blankets are provided. Guests, please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a stove, an oven, and a microwave, as well as a fridge, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. The lounge contains a TV with commercial DStv, and Wi-Fi as well as a fireplace for the cooler evenings.
The house also has a protected lapa with braai facilities, and parking is available. Pets are welcome with prior arrangements, and a cleaning service is available on request at an additional cost.
Guests can go bass fishing in the dam, which is also home to an otter family, use the canoes, go cycling, walking, or birdwatching. Small game can also be seen roaming around the dam.
