Nestled in the Lowveld between Hazyview and Sabie is the perfect place to relax and explore the beautiful Mpumalanga, the breathtaking Panorama Route, and the untamed Kruger National Park. Mackers is perfect for families, couples or close friends who want to break away from the busy city, looking for peace and tranquility, without breaking the bank! You will be booking the right place if you enjoy nature at its best in an environment that appreciates the sound of rapids and birdsong, undisturbed by noise or music. If you need music at Mackers, you’re missing the point! Please note that we do not allow any music or day visitors in our peaceful haven.
We are based in the Sabie valley nature conservation area. We are almost in the middle of Sabie and Hazyview on the R536. We are 17 km from Hazyview and 26 km from Sabie. The Phabeni gate is 25 km from us to enter the Kruger park. The panorama route is also close by for some awesome scenery. Graskop is a mere 30 min drive from us and Gods window is 40 min with the most breath taking views. 2 km from our entrance is the adventure centre for the outdoor and adrenalin enthusiasts. We offer game drives into the park with open vehicles. All your needs are catered by us.

Accommodation comprises 3 well-appointed cottages suited to accommodate up to 8 guests (there is additional sleeper couches in cottage 1 and 2 suitable for children). All cottages come equipped with comfortable beds, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, and a kitchenette. Our cottages overlook the Sabie valley and are ideal for quiet getaways with a partner or family groups. Please be advised that the cottages do not have a swimming pool or TV.
On-site facilities include a braai area and secure parking.
The hiking trail is an easy 800 m walk down the farm road or a more adventurous mountainside trail 400m to the river.
