Description
Macnoch Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a thatched family cottage, situated on the banks of the Bell Park Dam in the Central Drakensberg region. This 3-bedroom cottage is set in a tranquil and scenically beautiful setting with lovely views of the dam. The cottage is ideal for families.
The cottage can accommodate 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom contains a double bed and the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. These 2 bedrooms have access to a shared bathroom with a shower. Both the main and second bedrooms offer lovely views of the dam.
The cottage also comprises a kitchen, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and an upstairs loft with a pool table and ping pong table. There is also a bathroom with a bath situated upstairs. The loft leads out to a spacious balcony with views of the dam and Cathkin Peak mountain range. There are 2 single beds and 2 sleeper couches in the loft for additional guests for an extra charge, if required.
The lounge has a fireplace, ideal for those chilly winter evenings, and leads through glass sliding doors onto a verandah and garden. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave.
The garden leads down to the dam and jetty; guests are welcome to bring their own boat, canoe, kayak or fishing equipment to use on the dam. Portable braai facilities are available, and guests have access to parking. The cottage has security gates, these must be locked when guests go out and when they check in.
