Description
Manchester Farmstay is a lovely self-catering apartment with a private entrance on the owner's farm just outside White River. It is ideal for business travellers or holidaymakers looking for a base in the Lowveld.
The unit accommodates 2 adults and features 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided. If needed, a daybed can be arranged for a small child upon request. A camp cot is available for children aged 0 to 3 years.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a 2-plate gas stove, cutlery, crockery, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a counter with stools. We provide filtered coffee, a selection of teas, Nespresso pods, and a container of milk and rusks for you to enjoy upon arrival. The living area offers comfortable seating and a smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, Disney, and Apple TV, along with free WiFi. Fans are available in all rooms.
Outside, there is a covered patio with comfortable seating, a fire pit, and a gas-operated Braaimaster. A supply of firewood will be provided upon arrival, but additional wood can be purchased from the host at a reasonable price. Guests have access to a private shared swimming pool with the owner's permission. Secure parking is available right in front of the unit.
There are 2 farm dams on the property. The smaller dam, just above the unit, is available exclusively for guests and is great for fishing. The Manchester Dam is accessible for a small fee and requires prior booking, as it is also open to the public. This dam features running water, a toilet, and picnic facilities. A resident hippo occasionally makes an appearance.
There are various activities in the area of the property for guests to enjoy.
The unit is accessible via a 700m dirt road. Regular cars can drive on it comfortably, as long as they have sufficient ground clearance. Very low-clearance cars may struggle a bit.
