Extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. The views from Huis Oppie Rant are stunning, and it is super quiet and peaceful. The cottage is completely off-grid, so you can really switch off, but the main farmhouse (a short walk away) does have WiFi if you really feel the need for connectivity . A wonderful break from the world. We stayed at Cloete House (built 1876), which is like stepping into the past with the paraffin lamps, outside and indoor fireplaces, and slow pace of life.
