Description
Miertjieskraal Karoohuisies offers comfortably furnished self-catering accommodation on a working boer bok and sheep farm, 40 km from Riversdale.
Guests can book the 4-sleeper Flora unit. The spacious unit comprises 1 bedroom, and has a private bathroom with a shower and a toilet. For convenience, towels are provided. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate stove and oven, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. The unit opens onto a stoep with a built-in braai, and guests are welcome to make use of the fire pit. A cleaning service is available on request at an additional cost.
Flora has a freshwater tank that catches water from the roof, and guests are welcome to bring their own water. Brackish water is used for the shower, toilet and kitchen, and is not suitable for drinking. Please note, the farm does not have cellphone reception.
Guests can watch the daily farming activities and free-roaming chickens, goats and sheep, bring their bicycles to explore the farm, go walking, or just relax around the firepit and watch the sunsets and sunrises.
