We slept peacefully and the owner(s) are friendly and helpful. We were at a hockey tournament at Michaelhouse and Millgate Cottage was conveniently close by. It is also conveniently close to many Midlands Meander hotspots. Millgate Cottage is old world and has a farm feel. Our unit has a lot of space, but guests should know that it is not modern.

Stayed for 3 nights on a golf tour. The place is very neglected and overgrown. The kitchens' mugs, glasses and crockery do not match at all. The cottage we had was not a luxury one but everything we needed was there. When the TV did not work they immediately changed it for another one. The German Bistro and Bar on the premises is a gem. We did not have a wide view but compensated that by visiting places that have.

It was exactly what we needed for one night stay. It was located in close proximity to the wedding we attended. It was very quiet and peaceful. The staff members that we did see were very helpful. My only issue was that we didn't meet our hostess who I believe to be 84 years old. I had to find someone to switch on our geyser at 6:30 in the morning so I could shower and we didn't have any washing up sponges/ cloths or any dishcloths. Other than that it was very nice.
