Beautiful location, but lack of attention to detail and cleanliness is a let down. I must preface this review with the fact that the location is exquisite; particularly from the main house overlooking the infinity pool – the sunsets were incredible and the visits from kudus and bushpigs with their babies were so incredibly special. The property itself is spacious and beautiful. Saying that, there are a few touches and attention to detail that were lacking in our experience. It did rather feel as if our stay had been forgotten, as upon arriving at the gate we hadn’t been issued our QR codes to get into the reserve. Upon arriving at the house at 3:30 pm, the cleaners were still finishing up and awaiting toilet roll – bearing in mind check-in is from 2 pm. Additionally, you can feel there’s been a lack of attention to maintaining high standards in the home. For example, the couch cushions were covered in stains, cables hanging from the TV/sound system appearing rather unsightly, water dripping from the ceiling in the living room when it rained. The microwave didn’t work, and there was no child-friendly Tupperware to use to ensure nothing was broken (nothing was, thankfully). Most worryingly was that my husband’s foot fell straight through a plank on the decking between rooms – I totally understand the role weather plays in this happening, but it is indeed a health hazard due to non-maintenance. We’re just grateful it was my husband and not my 70-year-old aunt, and no injuries were sustained. We unfortunately didn’t receive any message on this after engaging with the booking agent. We had a wonderful time as a family, the reserve is beautiful and the view from the patio is spectacular - I cannot help but wonder if the homeowners aren’t that invested in maintaining it anymore though. For the hefty fee paid, we don’t feel it was quite the luxury experience we’d hoped for and should have trusted the other reviews on this property. Such a pity. I would genuinely like to know if the owners are looking to sell. Attendees: 5 adults, 1 teen (14), 1 child (5).

Awesome, relaxing & quiet. Would be great if the owners could invest in an inverter. And have matches/ lighters availabile in the house.

Easy to get to, beautiful lodge with amazing view and rooms. Easy access to game viewing and other facilities. Overall great stay, a beautiful and accessible spot. The game rangers were better than expected. The food and service at the restaurant were good. Two small hints: the map from reception is numbered with the prefix 7 when it should be 6, i. e our unit was 621 but on the map, it was 721. On our last day, our checkout was at 10 but the cleaning lady arrived at 7:30, it's preferable especially on check out that she arrives at 10 or later.

The location was very beautiful, but the customer service was terrible. There was no water when we arrived, and the manager failed to inform us about this. Our children could not use the toilet or take a shower for a day and a half. Additionally, some of the lights in the rooms were not working.

Great and fantastic. Need to go back! As always I can recommend Mingwe for anyone wishing to spend some time in the bush. Love it. Will be back in the park asap!
