Nestled 230 m above the rugged Tsitsikamma coastline is Misty Mountain Reserve, situated in a Marine Reserve along the famous Garden Route, bordering the Tsitsikamma National Park. It offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, Tsitsikamma Mountains and the indigenous forest.
Misty Mountain Reserve offers ocean-view lodges, hardcover clear dome units and lakeside glamping tents. Each lodge room is equipped with percale linen, towels, and eco-friendly amenities as well as a flat-screen TV with selected TV channels, heating and cooling, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Outside, there are braai facilities to make use of.
Establishment facilities include a restaurant, lounge, fireplace, and bar as well as a swimming pool and a large deck. There is a Wi-Fi hotspot available at the main reception. Safe parking, concierge and laundry services are available.
Those wanting a little more adventure will be happy to know that the reserve offers many exciting on-site activities from freshwater fishing to scenic indigenous forest walks, the guided David Lane Hiking Trail, and 4 mountain biking routes ranging from 8.7 km to 65 km. Guests are required to bring their own bikes. There is also a 9-hole mashie chip and wedge golf course. Many wild animal sanctuaries and adventure activities are in the surrounding area.
