Pam and Ant, proudly South African owners, welcome you to Montagu Vine Guesthouse!
Montagu Vines is situated in the historic conservation area of Montagu. The main farmhouse was built between 1900 and 1910 and reflects the early Victorian-influenced Karoo-styled farmhouses of that period.
There are 8 Garden Rooms in total - 5 Standard and 3 Luxury. The rooms, set in the gardens, overlook the dam, olive grove and beautiful surrounding mountains and complement the stately main house. We offer our guests a taste of old-fashioned comfort and luxury, in the town of Montagu, on the world famous “Route 62".
You can relax in the splash pool, set in the tranquil gardens, with magnificent old oak and Milkwood trees. Alternatively, you could lounge on the lawns with glorious views of the olive grove and surrounding mountains, sipping a glass of wine from one of our local wine farms!
Guests can otherwise simply relax in the cosy lounge, with a book or magazine or, in the comfort of their garden room.
Montagu Vines is just a stroll away from the centre of Montagu, with its amenities that cater for all tastes and interests. There are restaurants, coffee shops, bistros, historic churches/buildings and tranquil gardens for the visitor to enjoy. Take an historical walk through the village of Montagu or, attempt one of the numerous trails for those wishing to enjoy some exercise and fresh air.
Montagu Vines is the perfect place for those intimate weekends, birthdays, and anniversaries or as a stopover whilst discovering “Route 62" and all it has to offer.
You may be lucky and see the “resident" owls perched in the old oak tree or meet one of the big tortoises in the olive grove that visit from the adjacent nature reserve!
