Mossel is the Yzerfontein Gem is a cosy flat attached to a main house but with its own private entrance, in the village of Yzerfontein less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Spending time at the flat, or taking a short walk of less than a minute to the beach, will relax and revive your spirits. There you can watch the seagulls for hours, trying to crack open the black mussels that they have snatched from the seabed, darting in quickly between wave sets.
The Mossel flat can accommodate up to 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The bedroom contains 2 single beds, a ceiling fan, and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and a breakfast bar with stools. The cosy lounge contains a flat-screen TV. The flat has its own protected patio area, as well as its own lawn area, with outdoor dining furniture, and a weber kettle braai facility.
The dry, mild climate at Mossel ensures good weather year round, never too hot, never too cold with memorable sunsets. Enjoy the sound of the sea as you lie tucked up in your bed, raging seas in winter and lapping the shores in summer.
