Lovely place ruined by poor management. The lodge is wonderfully located and set out, rooms are generally well laid out but management is poor which made our stay not very nice. 4 people only 2 towels in room. No gas bottle for gas stove. 4 people but only 3 chairs on patio. 4 different patterns of cutlery. 6 different patterns of glassware. Dirty marks on walls. Mould in shower. Cockroaches in kitchen (left one we caught under a glass for staff to see). Roof on patio leaked. Hotel information sheets sticky with what looked like drink and food spills. Bedroom door couldn't be opened had to use a knife passed under the door by friends and by the damage to the door it has happened before. Someone had previously used plastic tape to try hold latch in. Finally, breakfast was served from 07:00 to 09:00. We arrived at 07:10 to be told the chef / manager had gone to town to buy items for breakfast. We waited until 07:25 and then left.
