Description
Mount Ceder Kareeboom offers an ideal self-catering weekend destination, and is situated in the Cederberg Mountains offering guests a host of exciting accommodation and activity options. Located in a valley surrounded by rugged and interestingly dramatic mountains, Mount Ceder Kareeboom is found on the main route through the Cederberg range.
Kareeboom house consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 shared bathrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and the second, third and fourth bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower and a bath, a basin, and a toilet. The open-plan kitchen contains a fridge, a microwave, a gas stove, and an oven. The adjacent living area has a fireplace and opens onto a deck, which has braai facilities and a wood-fired hot tub.
For those who do not want to cater for themselves, there is a restaurant where one can order sumptuous meals. Dinners are a 3-course set menu and need to be booked 24 hours in advance. Activities include mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, bird-watching and swimming in the river. In addition to the opportunities for hiking and swimming on the property, Mount Ceder Kareeboom is also within driving distance of many other Cederberg attractions and various 4x4 routes.
The Cederberg region is only 2 and a half hours from Cape Town and yet the landscape is completely different from that of the Mother City; wilder and warmer with raw, dramatic beauty.
