Mount Ceder Puntjie offers an ideal self-catering weekend destination, and is situated in the Cederberg Mountains offering guests a host of exciting accommodation and activity options. Located in a valley surrounded by rugged and interestingly dramatic mountains, Mount Ceder Puntjie is found on the main route through the Cederberg range.
This is a private self-catering house with a Jacuzzi on a deck. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. The second room has 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Bedding and towels are provided. The living area has 2 single beds for additional guests and a fireplace. The living area leads out onto the deck, which also has a braai area.
For those who do not want to cater for themselves, there is a restaurant where one can order sumptuous meals. Dinners are a 3-course set menu and need to be booked 24 hours in advance. Activities include mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, bird-watching, and swimming in the river. In addition to the opportunities for hiking and swimming on the property, Mount Ceder Puntjie is also within driving distance of many other Cederberg attractions and various 4x4 routes.
The Cederberg region is only 2 and a half hours from Cape Town and yet the landscape is completely different from that of the Mother City; wilder and warmer with raw, dramatic beauty.
